Introduction
The HDD drilling fluid recovery system is designed for horizontal
directional drilling rigs (HDD).
According to the needs of drilling mud, HDD mud recovery system can
include vibrating screen, desilting cyclone, desilting cyclone,
decanter centrifuge, mud tank, mud agitator, mud gun, transfer
pump, etc. The mesh size of the vibrating screen will be based on
the performance of the vibrating screen for mud flow and drilling
mud separation, and in different mud requirements.
HDD mud recovery system working procedures
1. There is a drilling rig on each side of the drilling rig, and a
set of vertical mud pumps are installed on the top of the drilling
rig to feed the vibrating screen. The shale shaker separates the
drilling cuttings, and the fluid part falls into the sand trap
through the screen holes.
2. After 1 or 2 or 3 sets of desander cyclones sit on the vibrating
screen, a set of centrifugal pumps will separate the desander
cyclong in the second stage, and the solid desander will discharge
the vibrating screen or directly cut the box and the liquid flow
desander Will flow into the desander chamber.
3. After the de-sander, a certain number of de-sand cyclones will
be placed to separate fine particles. The solids except the de-sand
will be discharged into the vibrating screen or cuttings box, and
the fluid in the de-sand will enter the de-sand chamber .
4. The mixing pump is installed on the anti-skid trough to
transport the drilling mud and inject the mud into the mud hopper
to remix the new mud with new chemicals. The mixing hopper can be
installed on the top of the tank or on the slider according to
customer requirements.
